The
Salt Spring Island Historical Society
presents
Dr Patrick Taylor :“An Irish Doctor in Peace and at War.”
On Wednesday November 12, 2014 Dr Patrick Taylor will present and over view and readings from his new book “An Irish Doctor in Peace and at War.” This Novel is based on the research that Dr Taylor did on the medical trials and tribulations of the Doctors who worked on the warships of the British Navy during World War 11.
The ship is the HMS Warspite assigned to Alexandria and the fictional Dr, Fingal is the Medical Officer. Historical fact is used to weave the story of this novel and plots. It will fit in well with the Remembrance programs that are held each November. In addition the Salt Spring Archives will have a visual display to recognize some of the Salt Springer’s who served in World War 1.
Plan to attend this presentation at 2 PM at Central Hall. Dr Taylor will answer question and provide select readings from this book.
Tea and Coffee will be provided at the conclusion of the meeting.
Wednesday November 12, at 2 PM, Central Hall.
