William John Lawrence Hamilton was born March 13, 1859 in Ulster, North Ireland. Son of Edward James Hamilton and Georgina Susanna nee Hart. William was an electrical engineer. He married Caroline Louisa Hayward December 1884 in the civil parish of Marylebone, England. They came to Salt Spring Island in 1897. William died of arterio sclerois on May 16, 1946 at Lady Minto Hospital, Ganges, BC and was interned in St. Mark's cemetary.
Caroline Louisa Hamilton (nee Hayward)was born November 21, 1860 in the district of Andover, England. Daughter of Charles Hayward and Elizabeth nee Jessop. Caroline died of acute tuberculosis January 9, 1932, Fulford Harbour and interned in St. Mary's cemetary.
Georgina Cecile Hamilton ('Ina') was born Sept, 29, 1885, England. She was an amateur Philatelist who never married. Georgina died Feb. 28, 1975, North Saanich, B.C.
Mable Emily Hamilton was born June 16, 1887, England. She married Albert Davis on April 2, 1925 in Victoria, BC. Albert was born c. 1883 and died Jan 7, 1969, Ganges, BC. They had no children. Mable died September 27, 1979, Ganges, BC.
William John Edward Hamilton was born Mar. 13, 1889, Ireland. He married Ella Mae Greenwood on March 19, 1928 and later divorced. William died of skin cancer February 25, 1955, Fulford, BC.
Claude Herbert Hamilton was born July 31, 1890, England. Claude was a deaf mute who never married. He was a boat builder. Claude died April 6, 1980, Central Saanich, BC.
Lawrence George Hamilton was born Nov 13, 1891, Victoria B.C. He married Madeleine Ida Harris June 6, 1916 in Port Alberni, BC and divorced two years later. They had one child, Gordon Lawrence Merriett Hamilton, who changed his name to Hamilton-Horne to honour his step-father.

Hans Hayward Hamilton was born June 17, 1897, Fulford Harbour, BC. He died in childhood and is interned in St. Mary's cemetary, Fulford Harbour, BC.
Ian Hart Hamilton was born Jan 8,1899, Fulford Harbour, BC. He died of bronchial pneumonia December 25, 1917 in south Salt Spring Island and is interned in St. MaryÕs cemetary, Fulford Harbour, BC.
Gerald Blackwell Hamilton was born March 27,1900, Fulford Harbour, BC. He died in a commercial fishing accident, Queen Isabella Islands. The boat went down in rough weather. The boat and Gerald's body were never found.
