I have an original "Closing Concert" program from Vesuvius School from 1917 and was wondering if you would like to have it for the Archives. It was my Mother's. She was Josephine Smith. She was born on Salt Spring Island and went to school there until she was ready for "Normal School" at which time she moved to Vancouver. My Brother and I spent many wonderful summers on the Island at my Grandmother's cottage in Ganges.

I would be pleased to mail the program to you if you would like it.

Thanks for taking my Mom’s program. It is hand painted and lovely and just too nice to throw away. In searching for mailing information, I came upon your site that has audio reports. I listened with great interest to Elizabeth Sampson as she was my “Auntie Lizzie” My grandmother was her sister Emma who she refers to in her talk as the sister she came out to Canada to live with. Her niece and nephew were my Mother Josephine Smith (Josie) and my uncle Percy Smith. When my brother, cousins and myself were growing up we would visit my grandmother in Ganges and I played with Elizabeth's daughter Lily for many years so our ties to Salt Spring go back some ways too.

thanks again
