Information Providers/Office Help/Computer Volunteers

Salt Spring Historical Society Archives is looking for new volunteers. No experience is required as training and mentorship will be provided; however, an interest in local history could be helpful. Any skill or talent will be appreciated.

The Archives require volunteers who can work in the Archives or from home in any of the following capacities:

If you can help with any or all of these tasks we would love to hear from you. The archives office is located in Salt Spring Public Library in Ganges.

The mandate of the Salt Spring Historical Society Archives is to collect and preserve archival materials that illustrate the growth and development of Salt Spring Island or that pertain, in whole or in part, to activities within the boundaries of the Salt Spring Island Local Trust area. These are great opportunities to make a wonderful contribution to this community’s preservation of its history, and acquire new skills.
