You can help preserve Salt Spring Island’s history! St. Paul’s
Church in Fulford Harbour is in need of restoration work. Your donation will
contribute to the preservation and restoration of the oldest church in the Gulf
Islands.
Construction of St. Paul’s church began in 1880. The church has been a
beacon and landmark for travellers. It is hailed as the most photographed site
on Salt Spring Island! The cemetery adjacent to the church is the burial place
of many of the island’s early settlers including the Hawaiians.
Among the projects to be undertaken are
photos of the removal of the cupola on July 28, 2007
