OKANO, RIYO AND KUMANOSUKE Riyo and Kumanosuke Okano posed in front of their home.
Mr. Okano came to Canada about 1896, first operating fishing boats out
of Crofton. Moving to Salt Spring in 1920, he bought land in the Booth
Canal valley and developed an extensive market garden. |
