A household or store scale for weighing flour, grains, vegetables, etc.

A form on which to make shoes. In early times, shoes were usually made by the head of the household from leather obtained from animals killed for food.

A flatiron was heated on the stove. Sometimes they were filled with water which helped keep them hot for a longer period of time. The handles were usually detachable with one handle for all the flatirons. Most households had several flatirons.
