Burgoyne Bay School 1915
“It’s been a long time, but when Salt Spring Island children went to school at Burgoyne Bay Valley in 1915, this was the setting.
The picture shows the teacher, Mary Gyves with the girls in the school. Miss Gyves still lives in the valley.
She is Mrs. E. Brenton.
Picture belongs to Mrs. Rose Alexander, of Ganges. She did not identify the students seen.” Driftwood January 25th, 1978
